Greg Drakos
Managing Partner
Mr. Drakos has over 20 years of real estate investment, development and finance experience. Prior to founding CREI, Mr. Drakos served as Executive Vice President for Carrington Holding Company, a diversified real estate services and investment firm, where he led the Special Situations Group, focusing on opportunistic investments in the US real estate sector. Mr. Drakos also served as a Portfolio Manager for Carrington Capital Management, a $6B investment manager, where he was responsible for investing in distressed real estate equity and debt throughout the US. Prior to Carrington, Mr. Drakos worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he covered the real estate industry and participated in over $5B of financing transactions. Mr. Drakos holds a B.S. in real estate and finance from Cornell University, as well as an MBA and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and National Multifamily Housing Council.
Marty Monroe
Managing Partner
Mr. Monroe is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor. He is responsible for strategy, deal review and approval, and various high net worth relationships. Mr. Monroe co-founded ERx Network, which was sold to private equity firms General Atlantic and Hellman & Friedman. Mr. Monroe is an active investor in both the public equity and private real estate markets. He is focused on actively researching and tracking trends to identify unique investment opportunities.
Kirk Westerfield
Director, Construction
Mr. Westerfield is responsible for managing all aspects of construction operations for CREI’s subsidiary, Cross Construction Incorporated. Mr. Westerfield has over 30 years of construction and development experience ranging from custom homes to master planned communities and large-scale multifamily projects totaling over $100M. Prior to Cross, Mr. Westerfield served as a Senior Project Manager for Carrington Development Company where he oversaw numerous residential projects throughout the US. Before Carrington, Mr. Westerfield served as Construction Manager for Lennar Corp., a leading national homebuilder, where he was responsible for all construction operations on Lennar’s Southern California single family home and multifamily development projects. Mr. Westerfield holds both a California B and C-8 contractor’s license.
